During the last few days I have shared photos taken during my morning walks at the Arboretum in Tampere.
The cold has arrived and has brought with it 20cm of powdery dry snow.
It is all a bit more silent now. All a bit more quiet at the Arboretum.
So, I thought to travel a bit with the help of photographs. I am taking a train and will travel to Italy and share some black and white photos that I took last month when I was back in my hometown, Cremona.
An owl has arrived and stays at the Arboretum here in Tampere.
Its favourite spot is the tip of the spruce in the photo.
Photographers with long telephoto lenses are stationed nearby, waiting to capture the right moment. They wear thick winter clothes. It is -10C and windy these days. This means that the felt temperature, especially at the Arboretum, next to the lake, can be anything between -15C and -18C.
The owl (pöllö in Finnish) does not seem to be bothered by any of this.
