The path to the forest is covered by new snow. The steps from people who walked past have disappeared. I make my way with the fresh snow reaching my knee. I went back to the railway station in Heinävesi the other day. I had to take the 16:45 train to Pietsämäki.

The Heinävesi railway station was opened to traffic on December 1, 1939. The station building was designed by Thure Hellström, and it was completed in 1938.
