Bicycle reflection

It has been raining hard yesterday afternoon. Today on my way to work there were still many puddles in the street. At stop at this one because I like the image of the clouds in the sky.

The pier

Togean - UnaUnaTogean - UnaUnaTogean - UnaUna

I took these photos last December when we travelled to the Togean archipealgo in the northern part of Sulawesi. We landed on a tiny island called Una Una with incredibly well preserved corals and stunning underwater visibility. I liked the pier near our basic resort and waited for people to walk on it.

Nordic winter, some years ago

I am cleaning up photos in old folders. Deleting what I do not want to keep and saving and storing the ones I want to keep and share again. I found these photos taken January  in 2007, right after the new year, on an early afternoon. The light was magic. The lake and the nature very quiet. No wind. Juts the sky, the ice and the sun.

Clouds on a Finnish summer lake

Finnish lake

I took this photo from the pier of our cottage in Finland, last July. It must have been around 10:00pm. The clouds moved slowly as there was little or no wind. Enough time to capture their reflection in the calm water of the lake.

15 years, today. This is for you, with love.

Electricity pole in Brixton

Elecrticity pole in Brixton

There is this electricity pole in Brixton. I passed next to it every day last June, on the way back to the flat of a friend where I was staying. Looking up, to the wires and the clouds, the houses of the street disappeared and it was like this was somewhere in the country side, not in London.

London greens

The end of June in London was incredibly hot. For the week I was there the sky was blue most of the time. No clouds in sight and very low humidity. Every morning I walked through Brockwell Park to get to Herne Hill railway station and catch the train to Blackfriars Bridge. I was walking through early, at around 7 or 7:30. The colours were crisp. The greens very green. The blue of the sky very blue. Very nice.
