Last Sunday I went for an afternoon walk to Santa Lucia. It is a small village about 15 km out of Tegucigalpa. There was a nice bright light. The sun was shining, but it was not too hot. Families were in restaurants having lunch and enjoying the good time together. It was a nice day.
I have been looking into my photos database to look for photos to add to my black&white series. Here few photos I took at the Royal Botanical Garden in Kandy, Sri Lanka in 2005.
The school year has ended. The summer break has arrived and it is time to prepare to go back to Europe to see family and friends. First things first: prepare the suitcases.
During the month of Ramadhan it is really different to go to malls on Saturday mornings. There are few people around. The coffee places like this Starbucks are almost empty. It is a different atmosphere, like being in a different city..
I left the office this afternoon and hit a very busy and traffic-jammed Jl. Sudirman. This bus appeared behind the Go-Jek driver (a smartphone app mototaxi) and I liked the three guys cheering the behind.
We are is the Ramadan. Every day here in Jakarta at around 6pm these little food stalls appear in the streets. They were hidden during the day. Invisible to people. Suddendly, as the sunset approaches, they are there all over the city. The people who are fasting gather around them waiting the signal from the mosques that the time has arrived to break the fasting.
